Stand Up for Mental Health Buttons - HealthyPlace

The usage of benzodiazepines in the treatment of anxiety disorders, is not a predictor for improvement for many. As a mental health provider I see numerous people who feel that the medication is the only course of action in the treatment of anxiety which precipitates further distress. They can be used as needed for brief periods of time but the individual must develop anxiety management skills in order for the anxiety to be managed. Some of these skills I will be discussing in blogs to come.

Gun Control

The current debate shows a great deal about how the powers that be truly value human life. We see politics and capitalism battling it out who we will win? Washington is figuring how to play this to the greatest advantage of the economy and without compromising 2nd Amendment rights. We have the NRA who is interested in maintaining and hopefully increasing the production of guns. Meanwhile a real solution will fall by the wayside. Hopefully there are enough sensical people to do what is right a movement that makes a difference that doesn't expect the answer to come from the powers that be.
